Course Description:
This is a 5 day course for level II or level III certified conventional UT inspectors and engineers, providing a springboard into phased array inspection processes.
The course provides training in the principles of phased array inspection, probe design, scanning techniques, focusing and beam steering, phased array instruments, instruments set up, element checks and calibration, data resolution and collection, software familiarity and data analysis.
Students will perform hands-on exercises to demonstrate the capabilities and imaging displays of phased arrays. Some individual set-ups may be possible. Students are encouraged to bring along their phased array equipment, if available, and samples of their defective specimens for evaluation. Pricing for course does not include an instrument for each student.

Course pricing does not include instrument. Students are encouraged to bring their own UT instrument. This advanced course is intended for persons who have successfully completed Level I and II training. Class size is limited for maximum utilization of instructor and equipment.
